Simon Frederick St George Kirke (born 28 July 1949) is an English musician who was the co-founder, drummer, and only continuous member of the rock supergroup Bad Company. Prior to forming Bad Company he was the drummer and co-founder of Free.
Biografia. Ha trascorso i suoi primi anni di vita al confine con il Galles. Ha lasciato la scuola a 17 anni cercando un posto di lavoro come batterista nella scena blues. Incontra Paul Kossoff ed entra nei Black Cat Bones. I due in seguito lasciano il gruppo e formano con Paul Rodgers i Free.
Simon Kirke is best known for his powerful back beat drumming. He is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. He cowrote "Bad Company" with Paul Rodgers as well as most of the songs on his three solo albums.
