Története az amerikai polgárháború utolsó napjaiban játszódik és három különböző karakterű tiszt, a racionális Fiala János ( Csutorás Sándor ), a fatalista Vereczky Ádám ( Cserhalmi György) és a romantikus Boldogh ( Fekete András) eltérő sorsait mutatja be.
