Burning Rain is a band formed by guitarist Doug Aldrich ( Revolution Saints, The Dead Daisies, ex- Dio, ex- Whitesnake) and singer Keith St. John ( Montrose) in 1998. Joining the group were drummer Alex Makarovich (ex- Steelheart) and Ian Mayo (ex- Hericane Alice) on bass.

Pleasure to Burn is the second studio album by hard rock band Burning Rain. It was released in 2000 on Pony Canyon. It is the last album with Ian Mayo on bass guitar and Alex Makarovich on drums. The band was on hiatus after touring.
In 1996 a revamped lineup of Steelheart emerged with guitarist Kenny Kanowski, bassist Vincent Mele and drummer Alex Makarovich, leaving Matijevic as the last original member.

Accompanied by Ian Mayo on bass and Alex Makarovich on drums, Aldrich and St. John co-wrote all of the material. Flashes of Aldrich's future brilliance can be heard throughout the solos on both albums, and St. John proves why he's still on the scene today, going on to front Montrose and more recently Quiet Riot.
