Virginia Lilian Emmeline Compton-Mackenzie, CBE (/ ˈ k ʌ m p t ən /; 18 September 1894 – 12 December 1978), known professionally as Fay Compton, was an English actress. She appeared in several films, and made many broadcasts, but was best known for her stage performances.

Fay Compton (1894-1978) was a British actress who appeared in films, TV shows and stage plays. She was known for her roles in The Haunting, Othello and Laughter in Paradise, and received the CBE for her services to drama.
