Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Thin Lizzy initially consisted of bass guitarist, lead vocalist and principal songwriter Phil Lynott, drummer Brian Downey, guitarist Eric Bell and organist Eric Wrixon, although Wrixon left after a few months.
The previous year, he had performed alongside Jones and Cook on Johnny Thunders' debut solo album So Alone. Lynott became friends with Midge Ure of the Rich Kids , who deputised for Thin Lizzy during 1979 shortly after joining Ultravox .
5 gen 2016 · Lynott published two books of poetry to showcase his scholarly slide. His first collection, Songs For While I’m Away, came out in ‘71, followed by the plainly titled Philip Lynott three years later. In each case the majority of the ‘poems’ were actually song lyrics.
