Pretty Things recruited guitarist Victor Unitt from the Edgar Broughton Band to replace Taylor. During the summer of 1969, they recorded an album for a young French millionaire Philippe DeBarge, which was intended only to be circulated among his social circle.
They were a trio consisting of brothers Edgar (vocals and guitar) and Steve Broughton (drums) with Arthur Grant (bass), which was augmented at various times by a second guitarist and/or keyboardist, significantly Victor Unitt.

20 mar 2011 · You decided to ask Vic Unitt to join the band. Our manager and producer, Pete Jenner, floated the idea and it was agreed. Vic wasn’t playing with the Pretty Things at that time.
3 giu 2024 · Victor Unitt became frustrated as the band drifted away from their blues roots to explore the seemingly bottomless possibilities of psychedelia and he left the band. Undeterred, the remaining members relocated to London’s Notting Hill, then the focal point of the “underground,” in 1968.
