The Hellenic Army Academy ( Greek: Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων ), commonly known as the Evelpidon, is a military academy. It is the Officer cadet school of the Greek Army and the oldest third-level educational institution in Greece. It was founded in 1828 in Nafplio by Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first governor of the modern Greek state.

8 mar 2021 · From 28 June to 19 July 2021, the Hellenic Military Academy conducted summer training in the area of Kanapitsa-Litohoro. The training included individual tactics, fighter techniques, and Squad and Platoon-level exercises, day and night, involving personnel and assets of the XXIV Armoured Brigade "1st CAVALRY REG.
Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff. General Dimitrios Choupis was born in 1965 at Nea Kerdyllia, Serres. He was admitted to the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in 1983 and graduated in 1987 as Signals Second Lieutenant. As a fourth class cadet (1986-1987) he was First Captain of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon).
