Ian Hamilton's March is a book written by Winston Churchill. It is a description of his experiences accompanying the British army during the Second Boer War, continuing after the events described in London to Ladysmith via Pretoria.

He produced a second volume of his experiences continuing where this one ceased, Ian Hamilton's March. The events described. Churchill described his feelings when the armoured train he had been travelling with was ambushed by Boers:

"Ian Hamilton's March" covers the period from March 1900 to June 1900 during which time, the British take Bloemfontein and Pretoria. Having taken the Boer capital, the British believe the war is over.

It describes the fighting march of Ian Hamilton’s mounted division from Bloemfontein to Johannesburg (Churchill rode a bicycle into “Jo’burg” a day before the army arrived) and on to Pretoria, where the author was able to help liberate his former fellow prisoners at the Staats Model School.
