The Exies are an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1997. Their name, "The Exies", is short for "The Existentialists". Their two Virgin Records releases, Inertia (2003) and Head for the Door (2004), have sold over 400,000 copies combined.

Inizi
Gli Exies si formarono nel 1997quando il cantante e chitarrista Scott Stevens arruolò il bassista Freddy Herrera e il batterista Thom Sullvian per formare una band. Chris Skane, un amico di Stevens, suonava la chitarra nel gruppo, ma lasciò il progetto per dedicarsi ad altre priorità. Skane fu sostituito da David Walsh.
