Haileybury offers a world of opportunity for talented girls and boys, aged 11 to 18, who wish to contribute fully to our happy and purposeful community. We are an academically selective boarding and day school and we expect our pupils to achieve excellent results in public examinations.
The East India Company was nationalised and the college closed in 1858, becoming a public school with continuing ties to the former college. The college buildings survive and are now occupied by the public school's successor, Haileybury and Imperial Service College, a private school.

Haileybury and Imperial Service College is an independent school near Hertford in England. Originally a boys' public school, it is now co-educational, enrolling pupils at 11+, 13+ and 16+ stages of education. Over 750 pupils attend Haileybury, of whom more than 500 board. The Imperial Service College. During the early days of WW2, the number of boys it was able to attract fell rapidly and Haileybury merged with the Imperial Service College in 1942.
