2020: I-LAND
On June 1, 2020, Jake, along with trainees Sunoo, Sunghoon, Heeseung, K, and Daniel, via Twitter was revealed as an I-LAND contestant. It was also revealed he had been a trainee for nine months. On September 18, 2020, he ranked 3rd place, becoming a part of the official lineup of ENHYPEN.

Jake Sim, whose Korean name is Sim Jaeyoon, was born on November 15, 2002 in the Australian city of Brisbane, Queensland.
Since Jake grew up in Australia, he is fluent in English and is the main narrator for ENHYPEN’s intros, outros, and interludes in albums. Jake played the violin and bass before debut, and he is currently learning to play the guitar.
