Attrice televisiva, cinematografica e teatrale, Roxie Roker si fece notare nel 1970 grazie all'opera The River Niger, che le fece vincere l' Obie Award e per il quale ottenne una candidatura ai Tony Award per la migliore interpretazione drammatica nel 1974. [1] . Del 1974 è anche il film Claudine, dove recitò il ruolo di Mrs. Winston.
Roxie Albertha Roker (August 28, 1929 – December 2, 1995) was an American actress who portrayed Helen Willis on the CBS sitcom The Jeffersons. Roker is the mother of rock musician Lenny Kravitz and paternal grandmother of actress Zoë Kravitz.
