Yuen Woo-ping ( Chinese: 袁和平; pinyin: Yuán Hépíng; alias: Yuen Wo-ping; born 1945) is a Hong Kong martial arts choreographer and film director who worked in Hong Kong action cinema and later Hollywood films. He is one of the inductees on the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong.

Woo-Ping Yuen was born on 1 January 1945 in Guangzhou, China. He is a director and actor, known for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), Fearless (2006) and Kung Fu Hustle (2004).

ユエン・ウーピン （ 袁 和平 、Yuen Woo-ping、 1945年 -）は、 香港 の 映画監督 、 武術指導 、 アクション監督 である。 人物・経歴. 1945年、 中国 広東省 広州市 で10人兄弟の次男として生まれる。 父は、1930年代に京劇から香港の 粤劇 （ 中国語版 ） （えつげき）に移籍し名門粤劇団で活躍、のちに映画界に入り香港映画初の 武術指導 となった袁小田（ ユエン・シャオティエン ） [1] 。 その父から幼少時より弟たちと共に北派の武術と京劇を習い、また1年間 サモ・ハン・キンポー らの所属していた中国戯劇学院で学んだ [2] 。 やがて父について撮影所に行くうちに スタントマン として映画界で働くことになる [1] 。
