Horacio Paul Picerni (December 1, 1922 – January 12, 2011) was an American actor in film and television, perhaps best known today in the role of Federal Agent Lee Hobson, second-in-command to Robert Stack's Eliot Ness, in the ABC hit television series, The Untouchables.
Si specializzò in recitazione teatrale drammatica e si laureò nel 1949. Dal 1950 recitò in numerose serie televisive come Perry Mason, Gli intoccabili, Il fuggitivo, Starsky & Hutch, Kojak e molte altre. Nel 2007 pubblicò la sua autobiografia, dal titolo Steps to Stardom: My Story .

This WWII actioner turned out to be aptly named, as it led to a Warners contract for Picerni and a long succession of roles at that studio. Best-known for his second-banana role on the TV classic The Untouchables (1959) with Robert Stack, Picerni is the father of eight and grandfather of ten.
Paul Picerni was born in the borough of Queens, New York. In Public school he graduated as president of his class and received the proficiency medal for scholastic excellence. As an Eagle Scout he was selected to represent the borough of Queens at the World Jamboree in Washington, D.C.
