Biografia. Trasferitosi in Francia, debuttò come attore teatrale a Parigi durante l'occupazione. Dopo essersi diplomato presso il Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique, iniziò la carriera di attore cinematografico in Italia, debuttando alla fine degli anni quaranta in Fabiola (1949) di Alessandro Blasetti .
