Starling Javier Marte (born October 9, 1988) is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins, and Oakland Athletics. He made his MLB debut in 2012 with the Pirates.

28 feb 2024 · Marte simply was not the player he always had been. Wednesday, Marte took a Major League field for the first time since August, feeling like himself for the first time in far longer. “I want to reintroduce myself to the player I’ve always been,” he said afterward through an interpreter.
2 apr 2024 · As New York’s regular two-hole hitter that season, Marte hit .292/.347/.468 with 16 homers and 18 steals while making the National League All-Star team. But he took a significant step back in 2023, batting .248/.301/.324 with five homers and 24 steals.
