Frida Marie Hansdotter (born 13 December 1985) is a Swedish former World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympic champion. She competed in the technical events and specialised in slalom. Hansdotter's father Hans Johansson was also an alpine racer, and she is a second cousin of Prince Daniel.
Frida Hansdotter loves pressure. That pressure to perform pushed her to a surprise slalom gold at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games. Her two fast aggressive runs stunned the field that included the defending Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin for the gold medal, to date 'her best memory of the Games’.

Extremely fast between the tiny gates, the native from Norberg was able to celebrate the slalom season ranking in 2016, not less than 26 World Cup podiums and three World Championship medals so far.
6 mar 2019 · STOCKHOLM -- Olympic slalom champion Frida Hansdotter will retire from Alpine skiing’s World Cup next week, ending a years-long rivalry with Mikaela Shiffrin. “It’s time for me to say goodbye to the world cup circuit and start a new chapter in life,” the 33-year-old Swede said Wednesday on Instagram .
