Jacques Bizet (10 July 1872 – 3 November 1922) was a French physician and businessman best known for his long friendship with novelist Marcel Proust. He was the son of composer Georges Bizet, who died when the boy was three and before his works gained success. His mother was Geneviève Halévy, who became known as a literary hostess.

Jacques Bizet (* 10. Juli 1872 in Paris; † 3. November 1922 ebenda) war ein französischer Unternehmer und Schriftsteller. Er war der Sohn des Komponisten Georges Bizet. Nachdem sein Vater starb, als Bizet drei Jahre alt war, heiratete seine Mutter Geneviève Halévy Bizet den Anwalt Émile Straus.
Assieme al cugino Halévy dirige le riviste letterarie scolastiche -- tra cui la Revue Verte e la Revue Lilas -- alla quale anche Proust collabora. Jacques è, da ragazzo, brillante, affascinante, sensibile, ricco; ama le escursioni e la vita all'aria aperta.
In 1872 Genevieve was delivered of a son, Jacques. Still buoyed by this happy event, Bizet completed the music for L'Arlésienne and it went into production. The score is one of Bizet's most subtle, intriguing and rewarding, though it is virtually never heard in its original context – as incidental music to a play which is where it works best.
