Ludwigsburg porcelain is porcelain made at the Ludwigsburg Porcelain Manufactory founded by Charles Eugene, Duke of Württemberg, on 5 April 1758 by decree as the Herzoglich-ächte Porcelaine-Fabrique. It operated from the grounds of the Baroque Ludwigsburg Palace.
In 1947, Otto Wanner-Brandt revived the Ludwigsburg porcelain factory and in 1971 it became a GmbH. Still, the Ludwigsburg porcelain factory's 250-year history finally came to an end in 2016 due to a lack of demand for fine porcelain. Production was stopped and the factory was dissolved. Nel 1758 il duca Carlo II fondò la Fabbrica ducale di porcellane di Ludwigsburg. Nel 1800 il Württemberg venne occupato dalla Francia di Napoleone , con il quale la casa ducale stipulò una solida alleanza, tanto che nel 1806 Federico I di Württemberg venne eretto a Re del Württemberg.
