Eduard Steuermann (June 18, 1892, Sambor, Austria-Hungary – November 11, 1964, New York City) was an Austrian-born American pianist and composer. Steuermann studied piano with Vilém Kurz at the Lemberg Conservatory and Ferruccio Busoni in Berlin, and studied composition with Engelbert Humperdinck and Arnold Schoenberg. [1]
Eduard Steuermann war ein österreichisch-US-amerikanischer Pianist, Komponist, Klavierlehrer und Hochschullehrer. Er war der wichtigste Pianist des Schönberg-Kreises und brachte zahlreiche Klavier- und Klavierkammermusikwerke zur Uraufführung. 1951 wurde er Professor für Klavier an der Juilliard School in New York City.
