Wilhelm Friedemann Bach (22 November 1710 – 1 July 1784) was a German composer, organist and harpsichordist. He was the second child and eldest son of Johann Sebastian Bach and Maria Barbara Bach. Despite his acknowledged genius as an improviser and composer, his income and employment were unstable, and he died in poverty. Life[edit]
Musicista, detto il Bach di Halle (Weimar 1710 - Berlino 1784). Studiò col padre J. Sebastian e con J. G. Graun. Organista a Dresda (1733-46) e poi a Halle sulla Saal fino al 1764. Dopo lo troviamo a Brunswick (1772), Gottinga (1773), Berlino (1774) in costante declino artistico ed economico.
