Jean Douchet (French:; 19 January 1929 – 22 November 2019) was a French film director, historian, film critic and teacher who began his career in the early 1950s at Gazette du Cinéma and Cahiers du cinéma with members of the future French New Wave.
Jean Douchet, né le à Arras et mort le 1 à Paris, est un cinéaste, critique et historien du cinéma français. Biographie. Après des études de philosophie à la Sorbonne, Jean Douchet collabore à La Gazette du cinéma avec un texte sur le tournage du Journal d'un curé de campagne de Robert Bresson, puis à partir de 1958 aux Cahiers du cinéma.
