Film Roman, LLC, is an American animation studio currently based in Woodland Hills, California and formerly in Burbank. It was previously owned by Starz Inc. , which is now a division of Lionsgate , and currently by Waterman Entertainment , the production company of producer Steve Waterman .
Based on the comic strip created by George Gately. Heathcliff is an orange street-smart cat, who spends most of his time trying to turn a dustbin over people’s heads. He is a real street cat who loves to fight but will not fight girls. He will also lie cheat and steal to get himself some food, but beneath it all, he’s a good guy.

Best known for animating 1992-2016 episodes of The Simpsons and other series, it was later sold to IDT Entertainment (now Starz Distribution ) in 2003.
