Priya (Kajol) wants to become a nun while Thomas (Arvind Swamy) is madly in love with her. Thomas turns to Deva (Prabhu Deva) for help to make Priya fall in love with him. I have seen the movie in telugu version Merupu Kalalu movie name.It was dubbed in telugu and Hindi also. when i was teenage passionate about this movie songs and so tempted music by AR Rahman and songs super hit. Love everything in movie, can't miss each one frame beautiful love story between three youngsters.

Although the two films initially opened to lukewarm responses, Minsara Kanavu eventually emerged triumphant at the BO. The film's dubbed Telugu version, Merupu Kalalu, had a good opening in Andhra Pradesh.
