Lady of the House is an American television biographical film about Sally Stanford, co-directed by Ralph Nelson and Vincent Sherman. The screenplay by Ron Koslow is based on Stanford's autobiography of the same name. The film was broadcast by NBC on November 14, 1978.

Lady of the House plot. Whore madam and restaurant owner Sally (Dyan Cannon) is being made quite difficult in the middle of this century. She enters politics to do something about the general anti-women and becomes the first female mayor of the United States in 1976. She asserts her chain of office in Sousalito, a town near San Francisco.
