Grounded in a realist aesthetic, Love Is A Crazy Thing (with its misleadingly cheerful English title) is hardly the first Korean film to tackle this subject. But this effort by Oh Seok-geun is refreshingly clear-headed and thoughtful, and avoids the predictable paths taken by other similarly-themed works.

Her husband does very little to help raise their two children, So Au-jin works a number of part time jobs to make ends meet.
