Sumurum (Sumurun) è un film muto del 1920 scritto, diretto e interpretato da Ernst Lubitsch. La didascalia riporta Orientalisches Spiel in sechs Akten nach der Pantomine von Friedrich Freska (in sei scene, da una pantomima di Friedrich Freska).
Per lungo tempo Sumurun è stato conosciuto attraverso copie largamente incomplete e censurate. Grazie alla versione ritrovata presso la George Eastman House, Patalas ha potuto reinserire le scene mancanti dalla copia standard, come ad esempio quella straordinaria del ballo.

Sumuru, or Sax Rohmer's Sumuru, is a 2003 pulp science fiction film directed by Darrell Roodt and starring Alexandra Kamp and Michael Shanks. It is an update of the character Sumuru created by pulp novelist Sax Rohmer.
Plot. A company of travelling performers arrive at a fictional oriental city. It includes the beautiful dancer Yannaia, the hunchback clown Yeggar who is lovesick for Yannaia and the Old Lady who loves Yeggar. The slave trader Achmed wants to sell Yannaia to the Sheik for his harem.
