Delusion (also known as The House Where Death Lives) is a 1981 American psychological slasher film directed by Alan Beattie, and starring Patricia Pearcy, Joseph Cotten, David Hayward, and John Dukakis. The film's poster art is based on Charles Allan Gilbert's 1892 illustration All Is Vanity.

Meredith Stone, a home care nurse, has been assigned the duty of looking after a wealthy invalid named Ivar Langrock. Cooped up in Langrock’s stately country mansion, Meredith quickly suspects that someone sinister is lurking in the manor’s dark halls only to discover that Ivar’s demented and violent son has been locked away in a hidden room.

Review by Michael Shawn Patron. Delusion 1981 ★★★½. Watched Apr 25 , 2024. Just a tad old-fashioned and tame by 1981 slasher standards, The House Where Death Lives is still an engaging mystery with some solid acting and moody atmosphere.
