The working title of the film was The Thrill Man. According to a pre-production Los Angeles Times news item, director and stuntman Yakima Canutt was to perform stunts in the film. The same news item mentioned that Tom Steele and Dale Van Sickel would also do stunt work for the film, but their appearance in the released film has not been confirmed.
