21 dic 1972 · Weekend Nun was an unsold TV pilot film based on the life and career of Louisiana nun Sister Fabian (real name: Joyce Duco). Joanna Pettet stars as Sister Mary Damien (aka: Marjorie Walker), who on weekdays holds down a job as a probation officer (she even packs a gun).
The Weekend Nun plot. The nun Mary Damian starts working as a probation officer under the name Marjorie Walker. She has to deal with the darker sides of life when she has to work with drug addicts and a suicidal prostitution teenager.
The naive nun is exposed to the seedy side of life, dealing with drug addicts and a suicidal teen prostitute, Audree. The show focuses on the conflict Sister Damian Marjorie has between her vows and her need to do the social work she feels is her calling.
