The Return of October (Joseph H. Lewis, 1948) 6/10. Silly whimsy has young girl (Terry Moore) believing a race horse has the spirit of her late Uncle (James Gleason) which causes an uproar in her small town when she inherits a large sum from an old aunt (Dame May Whitty).
Sci-Fi. Before dying, Willie Ramsey's (James Gleason) last wish was to come back as a racehorse and win the Kentucky Derby. So when his niece, Terry (Terry Moore), comes across October, a horse that looks and acts remarkably like her late uncle, she buys it, outbidding Professor Bassett (Glenn Ford) a psychologist who wanted it for his research.
