Counterplot plot. New York City's Brock Miller flees to Puerto Rico on suspicion of murder. The murder case is complex, because the murdered man took out a life insurance policy shortly before his death. Manuel, a Puerto Rican boy whom Brock had befriended a year ago, offers him a safe house.
