Based on the true story of Edith Jessie Thompson, a woman who is wrongly accused of murdering her husband. Just before the outbreak of World War I, Edith Jessie Graydon (Natasha Little) marries her boyfriend Percy Thompson (Nick Moran). He survives the war but theirs is not a happy marriage.
