The Attractions were an English backing band for the English new wave musician Elvis Costello between 1977 and 1986, and again from 1994 to 1996. They consisted of Steve Nieve (keyboards), Bruce Thomas (bass guitar), and Pete Thomas (drums).
Elvis Costello & The Attractions were a UK New Wave and rock group formed in London in late 1977 by Elvis Costello and first appeared on the B-side of Watching The Detectives. They performed and recorded through to 1986, and again from 1994 through 1996.

I The Attractions sono stati un gruppo musicale inglese fondato da Elvis Costello, che ha fatto da supporto al cantautore nel periodo 1978-1986 e poi nuovamente tra il 1994 ed il 1996. Il gruppo era formato da Steve Nieve (tastiere), Bruce Thomas (basso) e Pete Thomas (batteria). Nel 1980 hanno pubblicato un album senza Costello.
Elvis Costello e The Attractions sono inclusi nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nel 2004 Costello è stato inserito nella lista dei 100 artisti più grandi di tutti i tempi secondo Rolling Stone alla posizione numero 80.
