DAVOUT, Louis-Nicolas, duca d'Auerstädt e principe d'Eckmühl. Maresciallo di Francia, nato ad Annoux (Yonne) il 10 maggio 1770, morto a Parigi il 1° giugno 1823. Era appena nominato sottotenente quando scoppiò la rivoluzione, alla quale si associò con calore. Nel 1792 fu coi volontarî dell'armata del Nord.
