William Warren Barbour (July 31, 1888 – November 22, 1943) was an American Republican Party politician who represented New Jersey in the United States Senate from 1931 to 1937 and again from 1938 until his death in office in 1943.

William Warren Barbour. US Senator. Elected as a Senator from New Jersey to the United States Senate, serving first from 1931 to 1937, then from 1938 until his death in 1943. He was the Amateur Boxing champion of Unted States and Canada from 1910 to 1911.
William Warren Barbour, who won the American and Canadian amateur heavyweight championship in 1910 and 1911, respectively, was "Gentleman Jim" Corbett's choice to be "the great white hope," but Barbour declined to take up the mantle.

BARBOUR, WILLIAM WARREN, a Senator from New Jersey; born in Monmouth Beach, Monmouth County, N.J., July 31, 1888; attended the public schools and graduated from the Browning School, New York City, N.Y., in 1906; also attended Princeton University; amateur heavyweight boxing champion of the United States and Canada in 1910 and 1911;
U.S. Senator William Warren Barbour (1888-1943), an advocate for rescue of Jews from the Holocaust, had one of the most unusual backgrounds on Capitol Hill: in 1910, he became the national amateur heavyweight boxing champion of the United States and Canada, after knocking out an opponent in one of two bouts he fought on the same night.
