KOLČAK, Aleksandr Vasil′evič. Ammiraglio russo, nato nel 1874, morto il 7 febbraio 1920 a Irkutsk. Fece due viaggi di esplorazione nel Mare Glaciale (1900 e 1912) e partecipò alla guerra russo-giapponese. Durante la guerra mondiale fronteggiò prima la flotta germanica nel Mar Baltico, poi comandò la flotta del Mar Nero.
