Daniel Charles Brandenstein (born January 17, 1943) is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of United Space Alliance. He is a former Naval Aviator, test pilot and NASA astronaut, who flew four Space Shuttle missions.

Daniel C. Brandenstein, former President of the National Space Society, is a former Space Shuttle astronaut and former U. S. Navy Captain. In October 2007, he joined United Space Alliance as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
17 gen 2024 · Brandenstein currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for United Space Alliance. He came to USA from Lockheed Martin Mission Services where he served as Vice President and Program Manager for the Mission Support Operations Contract at the NASA Johnson Space Center.
Daniel C. Brandenstein piloted one Space Shuttle mission and commanded three others, including the maiden flight of Endeavour, and later served as chief of the Astronaut Office.
