Theodor Heuss (* 31. Januar 1884 in Brackenheim; † 12. Dezember 1963 in Stuttgart) war ein deutscher Journalist, Publizist, Politikwissenschaftler und, über einen Zeitraum von fast 60 Jahren, liberaler Politiker ( NSV, FVg, FVP, DDP, FDP / DVP ). Nach Gründung der FDP 1948 war er für knapp ein Jahr deren Vorsitzender.
Theodor Heuss (born Jan. 31, 1884, Brackenheim, Ger.—died Dec. 12, 1963, Stuttgart, W.Ger.) was a liberal democratic legislator, the first president of West Germany, author, and leader of the Free Democratic Party (Freie Demokratische Partei, FDP). He also helped draft a new constitution for postwar West Germany.

HEUSS, Theodor. Statista tedesco, nato a Brackenheim, Württemberg, il 31 gennaio 1884. Pubblicista, dal 1903 fu membro dell'Unione Liberale; passò poi al Partito Democratico ( Deutsche Demokratische Partei) che rappresentò al Reichstag dal 1928 al 1933. Dal 1920 al 1933 insegnò alla Deutsche Hochschule für Politik.
