Bert Stedman (born March 6, 1956) is a Republican member of the Alaska Senate. A fourth generation Alaskan, he was born in Anchorage and spent his childhood between Petersburg and Sitka. He was appointed by Governor Frank Murkowski in November 2003 to the Alaska Senate.
Senator Stedman represents Southeast Alaska as the co-chair of the Senate Finance committee and advocates for Southeast interests to bring health, security, and prosperity to Alaska.
Senator Bert Stedman is a fourth-generation Alaskan. His great-grandfather, Charles Stedman, moved to Juneau from Washington State in 1902. In the hundred years since, the Stedman family has shown an enduring commitment to Southeast Alaska.
