James Douglas, 2nd Duke of Queensberry and 1st Duke of Dover (18 December 1662 – 6 July 1711) was a Scottish nobleman and a leading politician of the late 17th and the early 18th centuries.
Il titolo di duca di Queensberry venne creato nella parìa di Scozia il 3 febbraio 1684 assieme al titolo sussidiario di marchese del Dumfriesshire per il William Douglas.
Il Marchesato ha detenuto anche il titolo di Duca di Queensberry dal 1684 al 1810, quando fu ereditato dal Duca di Buccleuch. Il titolo feudale Barone Drumlanrig fu creato per William Douglas, figlio illegittimo di James Douglas, II conte di Douglas, qualche tempo prima del 1427, quando morì.
