Thomas Andrews Hendricks (September 7, 1819 – November 25, 1885) was an American politician and lawyer from Indiana who served as the 16th governor of Indiana from 1873 to 1877 and the 21st vice president of the United States from March until his death in November 1885.

Thomas Andrew Hendricks was an American statesman and lawyer who served as the 21st Vice President of the United States; from March 1885 to November 1885. Born to a farmer in Ohio, Hendricks was brought up in Shelby County in Indiana, and graduated from Hanover College.
30 ott 2002 · Thomas Hendricks served—more like butted heads with—Grover Cleveland. The two were at odds with each other, so much so that when Cleveland ran for president, Hendricks tried removing Cleveland from the ticket on the grounds that he was morally unfit for the presidency.
