Daniel Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham, 7th Earl of Winchilsea PC (2 July 1647 – 1 January 1730) was an English Tory politician and peer who supported the Hanoverian Succession in 1714. Known as Lord Nottingham until 1729, then as Lord Winchilsea.

Biografia. Era il figlio di Heneage Finch, I conte di Nottingham, e di sua moglie, Elizabeth Harvey, figlia di Daniel Harvey. Studiò alla Westminster School e alla Christ Church di Oxford. Dal 1665 al 1668 intraprese un Grand Tour, visitando Francoforte sul Meno, Monaco, Venezia, Firenze, Napoli, Roma e Parigi. [1]

Biography. Daniel Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham and 7th Earl of Winchilsea (1647-1730), commonly called ‘Dismal’, had five surviving sons and seven surviving daughters, known from their swarthiness as ‘the black funereal Finches’.
