Charles Watson-Wentworth, II marchese di Rockingham (Rotherham, 13 maggio 1730 – Wimbledon, 1º luglio 1782), è stato un politico britannico. Influente esponente del partito Whig, ricoprì il ruolo di primo ministro del Regno di Gran Bretagna dal 13 luglio 1765 al 30 luglio 1766 e dal 27 marzo al 1º luglio 1782.
Marchese di Rockingham, nella contea di Northampton, fu un titolo della Paria di Gran Bretagna. Fu creato nel 1746 per Thomas Watson-Wentworth, I conte di Malton; la famiglia Watson discendeva da Lewis Watson, membro del Parlamento per il collegio di Lincoln.
Primo ministro whig nel 1765-76, abrogò (1766) lo Stamp act imposto alle colonie nordamericane dal suo predecessore C. Grenville, riaffermando tuttavia il diritto del parlamento di legiferare in materia coloniale.

For the next sixteen years Rockingham maintained a group of political supporters in parliament called the Rockingham Whigs, a precursor of the modern party system. It was here that he made his biggest contribution to history.
In March 1782, on the resignation of Lord North, the king had no choice but to appoint Rockingham as Prime Minister for the second time. Rockingham still led the largest group in parliament and had a policy of conciliation prepared.
