Gary Gordon was a master sergeant in the U.S. Army and a Delta Force operator who died in the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993. He and his comrade Randy Shughart were posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for their actions in rescuing the crew of a downed Black Hawk helicopter.
