Tobias was Parliamentary Advisor to the Prime Minister for the 2014 NATO Summit and a member of the Parliamentary Delegation to the NATO Assembly 2014. Tobias was elected Chair of the House of Commons Defence Select Committee in January 2020 and remained in that position until September 2023.
