Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom und zum Stein (25 October 1757 – 29 June 1831), commonly known as Baron vom Stein, was a Prussian statesman who introduced the Prussian reforms, which paved the way for the unification of Germany.
Heinrich Friedrich Karl Reichsfreiherr vom und zum Stein (* 25. Oktober 1757 in Nassau, Herrschaft Stein zu Nassau; † 29. Juni 1831 in Cappenberg, Provinz Westfalen, Königreich Preußen) war ein preußischer Staatsmann und Reformer.
Direttore del demanio di Hamm (1788), poi presidente superiore del demanio della Vestfalia (1796) e ministro delle Dogane, manifatture e commercio, nonché delle Finanze (1804); propose una serie di riforme per svecchiare l'apparato burocratico.
Heinrich Friedrich Karl Reichsfreiherr vom und zum Stein (1757-1831) gilt auch heute noch als einer der bedeutendsten Staatsreformer in der deutschen Geschichte.

He sponsored widespread reforms in Prussia during the Napoleonic Wars and influenced the formation of the last.
