Benoit Joseph André Rigaud (17 January 1761 – 18 September 1811) was the leading mulatto military leader during the Haitian Revolution. Among his protégés were Alexandre Pétion and Jean-Pierre Boyer, both future presidents of Haïti.

André Rigaud ( b. 1761; d. 18 September 1811), Haitian general. A mulatto born in Les Cayes, Haiti, and educated in Bordeaux, France, Rigaud trained as a goldsmith and began his military career serving the French during the American Revolution.
