Kimberley Lord Driscoll (born August 12, 1966) is an American politician and lawyer who has served as the 73rd lieutenant governor of Massachusetts since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, Driscoll previously served as the 50th mayor of Salem from 2006 to 2023.
Kim Driscoll took on the old boys club to beat a popular incumbent and become the first woman elected Mayor of Salem. She is credited with turning the city around, turning deficits into surpluses and balanced city budgets, and saving taxpayers money.
Kim Driscoll won an underdog race to become Salem’s first woman Mayor in 2006, topping the ticket in a three-way race against a sitting City Councillor-at-Large and the incumbent Mayor. Kim took office at a time when Salem was in tough shape.
