John Turner (12 August 1947 – 1 May 2002), known professionally as John Nathan-Turner, was an English television producer. He was the ninth producer of the long-running BBC science fiction series Doctor Who and the final producer of the series' first run on television (from 1980 until it was cancelled in 1989).

John Nathan-Turner, who has died after a short illness aged 54, was the last and longest-serving producer of Doctor Who, the most successful and enduring British science-fiction series ever.
John Nathan-Turner (12 August 1947-1 May 2002) was first a member of the production team and then the ninth, longest serving and final producer for the original run of Doctor Who. He is often known simply by his initials, JNT.

31 lug 2022 · Some, according to a report in the London Times, built a replica movie Dalek from scratch. Richard Molesworth wrote an excellent book, The John Nathan-Turner Doctor Who Production Diary, 1979-1990, published in 2022. Nathan-Turner died tragically young, in his early 50s.
